These Terms are a contract between you and Hefei Yayi Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“MeetYa”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using MeetYa, you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old. You must also be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law. By using MeetYa you represent that you meet these requirements. We may suspend accounts we reasonably believe belong to a minor.
MeetYa lets you roll a generated character, talk to it, generate scenes from the conversation, and turn it into an illustrated storybook you can keep, export and share. Characters are created by generative AI; there is no fixed library and no human behind any character.
MeetYa is operated by Hefei Yayi Information Technology Co., Ltd., incorporated in Hefei, Anhui Province, China at Room 501, Building 9, Yiyuan, Xinfei Jiayuan Community, Nanfeihe Road, Baohe District, Hefei, Anhui Province, China. Contact: support@meet-ya.com.
Every character in MeetYa is AI-generated fiction. Characters are not real people, they have no consciousness or feelings, and nothing they say is a statement of fact about the world. We disclose this in the app, and we repeat it during long conversations.
AI output can be inaccurate, inconsistent, biased or inappropriate despite our safety measures. You are responsible for how you use it.
MeetYa is entertainment. It is not therapy, medical care, legal, financial or professional advice of any kind, and it must not be used in place of any of them.
MeetYa is not a crisis service. If you express suicidal ideation or self-harm, we surface crisis resources and the character stops engaging with it in role-play. Our full approach is published in our Crisis Intervention & Safety Protocol, which is part of your agreement with us.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may register with email or a supported third-party sign-in. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account; deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use MeetYa for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. Everything else in the app — the software, the model orchestration, the interface, our name and marks — remains ours.
You may not rent, sublicense, or provide MeetYa to others as a service; reverse engineer it except where law permits; or remove notices.
You keep ownership of what you create — your messages, characters you roll, and storybooks you write.
To run the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable licence to host, store, process, reproduce and display your content solely to operate MeetYa — generating replies and images, syncing across your devices, showing content you choose to publish, enforcing these Terms, and keeping the service secure.
When you publish to community features, you additionally grant us the right to display and distribute that content within MeetYa and to use it to promote the service inside MeetYa. You can withdraw that grant by deleting the post or your account, subject to technical propagation time and to copies others may have already made.
Our licence ends for a given item when you delete it.
Text, images and audio generated by MeetYa are produced by AI. Subject to these Terms and to your subscription status, we assign to you our rights in the AI-generated output you create, to the extent we are able to.
Two honest limits you should know:
You may not resell raw AI output as a stock asset, present it as human-authored where that matters, or use it to train a competing AI model.
You may not use MeetYa to:
Creating, requesting or distributing sexual content involving minors, or content sexualising minors in any form, results in immediate termination and a report to the relevant authority.
We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, or limit features, where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been broken. For serious or repeat violations we may act without prior notice. Where we act, we will tell you the reason and — except where doing so would create a safety, legal or investigative risk — give you a way to appeal by replying to support@meet-ya.com.
MeetYa offers an optional free tier and paid subscription tiers. Features, quotas and prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change; we give notice before any change that affects an active subscription, and it takes effect at your next renewal unless the law requires otherwise.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. The renewal price is the price shown at purchase, subject to the notice described above.
The rules depend on where you bought. Please read the one that applies to you.
Nothing in this section removes rights you have by law — including EU and UK consumer rights of withdrawal for digital content, and any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
Credits are a virtual balance used for metered features such as image generation and storybook export.
If you download MeetYa from Apple or Google, you also agree to their terms. They — not us — are responsible for the store, the download and the billing mechanism. They are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms to the extent they relate to your use of their platform.
We work to keep MeetYa available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, or the service, at any time. Where a paid feature you have already bought is materially and permanently removed, we will offer a proportionate remedy where the law requires it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeetYa is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or appropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or revenue, arising from your use of MeetYa.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) US$100.
This limitation does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights or of applicable law, except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.
Contact us first. Before starting a formal dispute, email support@meet-ya.com and give us 30 days to resolve it informally.
Arbitration. If that fails, the dispute will be finally resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), seat in Beijing, in English, before a single arbitrator. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction, and either party may use a small-claims court where it has jurisdiction.
